It is possible that your microhpone needs new foam AND has internal failures. It's well documented where an
attempt to 're-foam' a microphone resulted in the same failure mode exhibited (rattle/noisy output.)
There's a small but possible chance I'm not able to open your microphone. While extremely rare it's something to
be made aware of.
